Re: runnin rich
Scavange (spell check) gas easier/more freely so it draws in more fuel?Banger wrote:can any one tell me the various reasons my bike should start running rich after the bafflectomy I would of thought free-er flow would lean it off a bit
If it´s really rich now and you don´t have a K&N filter you can probably get a few ponies more....and open up the airbox

Re: runnin rich
Tubes are 20 quid each mate, Yamaha or factory pro. I would be amazed if yours weren't showing signs of wear. Mine were at 16K. Symptoms are very jerky, on-off throttle from closed & poor mpg.

Re: runnin rich
I've heard rumour that they can wear as early as 5,000kms.
I had mine done 2 or 3 years ago and replaced with Factory Pro and I'm sure mine are worn again at 72,000kms. Might try Dynojets next.

Re: runnin rich
I just changed the tubes & nothing else. Can't see the needles wearing out on standard brass tubes. They say to change float bowl gaskets but if they're not damaged ???Banger wrote:thats the fella! is there anything else need changing at same time as the tubes i.e needles etcG Beale wrote:Tubes are 20 quid each mate, Yamaha or factory pro. Re: runnin rich
No part number sorry but you might find this thread useful when you replace them.

The needle jets or emulsion tubes aren't easy to identify from the parts list either.
