if you have a 110 link chain (which is std ) you can fit a 42 rear no problem ,i have a 17/42 setup with a 110 link chain and it is by far the best compromise

I rode it a couple of day´s with 15/40....that was kinda hysterical....Would do great on a twisty track though...

does that gearing stress out the motor? or would it be less stress?

I would think it stresses more as it goes to 180kmh in WAY less time....and it keeps pulling straight thru the reds..thumpa wrote:does that gearing stress out the motor? or would it be less stress?

I would have thought a 15 tooth front sprocket would chainsaw thru the swingarm or at least make short work of the guide.
