Has anyone experienced this, fekkin strange me thinks.
Sometimes the revs picks up when going to first or second gear at a standstill....when going neutral it at once drops to 1200rpm.
Whatcha reckon??

Can you clarify whether the clutch is in, is the throttle cable sticking?, or part of carbs sticking ( thats all abit teccy for me, but crap in carbs not allowing the mechanism to close properly).

I don´t have the right hand on the throttle at all....just shifting gear when standing still!

... when you pull the clutch in?
Is it something as simple as the clutch cable flexing and moving the throttle cable ??
Rubber side down, Red side up is my preferred riding style.

Really misterious.
Even if the gear would influence the ECU, how would this relate to the carburetor?
I guess there is no connection at all between the two.
Could it be that your carburetor's membranes are defective (cracks)?
This can drive your idling crazy randomly (I have this on my XS).
(My profile is still as stock as my Trixie is, this might change)

Little over year old FCR´s...would think they are ok.
A mystery it is!!

I can only think it is clutch drag

Wouldnt that mean a decrease in revs...

Clutch drag? Due to bearings and cogs?
How is the clutch to cause drag?
Maybe KW has a clutch with negative drag coefficient

Öhhh, it does NOT happen when pulling the clutch. I can hold the clutch in for 10 minutes and nothing....but when put into gear....2k revs. And it don´t happen all the time.
Thinking further, this happened when going for MOT and i put the dB-killers in...fluke or not....i don´t know.

Well, this is still a problem so i bump it!
....now it got worse, clutch in the whole time....1st or 2nd=2-2500 revs.....click it in neutral and drops to 1200.
No wonder i have trouble get the gears in when riding!! ...and i thought it was the new oil....bah!

Ok teccy head on today, You say that it revs to 2000 - 2500 when in gear, but as soon as you put it in neutral it drops to 1200 revs. My thoughts are that you are running on choke for those high revs in neutral, so have you checked the choke cable is free. Also check the neutral wires to see if they are affecting the ECU.

I have FCR´s so no choke here...
I have very little throttle play as is so i will fix that...then i guess it´s just electrical left...!?
