But I think that if I was to throw maybe $4,000 at the TRX I would've had a very rideable bike that wouldn't give anything away to the RSV except on the straights.
The Falco may be interesting. a more comfortable RSV may have some merrit.
i think phuk and honk have 100hp from their trx's. Sure its not 120, but you aint gonna be giving much away really.
I guess its all relative.
Here in australia, a RSV, 749, TLR, these are all bikes which cost heaps 2nd hand, mainly because there was never alot sold in the 1st place. Aussie land gets screwed over for 2 reasons, we aint a huge biker nation, and import tax bones us. its CHEAPER to buy a bike brand new from japan, import it yourself. Same with cars. But we AINT allowed to do that because of the import law. Car must be 2nd hand and over 10 years old. Its STILL cheaper to import a car 2nd hand than buy a 2nd from a car yard. This ruined the dodgy mark up on 2nd cars, so the govt changed it to 15 years..
Thats a whole other story.
Back on topic, id rather spend the 4k on a bike you enjoy and love than sell it, spend it all on a bigger "pure" sports bike or whatever. The end result will be SOO much better.
