Really like it - looks great - R1 5PW tail? , just needs some tuning fork badges on tank and tail IMHO.

Is the TDM motor a lot better that the old TRX? - I haven't seen one going cheap TFS

Yeah this is pretty much the final design. I have made some changes to the front end, I am going to do a white vinyl number board to surround the lights, and maybe a a couple of little bits of stickers here and there but it will essentially be a black on black bike.

The 900 engine is just awesome. Super civilised and pulls clean at wot from right down the Rev range. Pace wise it's ever so slightly quicker than my mates 850/900 hybrid on FCR's. It's fair to say it will outpace an 850 with FCR's. The injection system works really well.

It sounds amazing too:

I spent a lot of time messing about with the ergonomics of the bike to get it right for me. The seat is about 3 to 4 inches higher than stock, which reduces the reach to the bars and put more weight on the nose of the bike. It also allowed me to lift the pegs 40mm to get more ground clearance.

it would e a lot easier to triangulate the frame to the engine mounts. Theres nothing easier than welding on to the steel frame. Cracking the motor which is cast is far easier though.

Guessin the whole wiring loom would be needed for the Tdm engine transplant, being the fuel pump and injection wiring
Coxylad ?

if you don't weld the lug onto the head then there is nothing on the left side to mount too. I wasn't comfortable with losing such a big mounting point on one side of the engine which mounts to the frame. I could gaurantee what sort of twisting effect it would have on the engine in the frame.

Yes welding a lug on engine is more difficult and specialist, but its the right thing to do.

If you want to go TDM900 fuel injection on the bike its the easiest route.

I suppose you could go megasquirt and make your own loom but for me I wanted the factory injection system that is just going to work and be reliable.

Power commanders work well with the tdm ecu and come up cheap on ebay often.
