Falls out of gear...into neutral

Post by trix » Thu Mar 01, 2007 3:57 pm

Hi Folks,
I've noticed a few times now, when I really gun it away from traffic lights etc, it tends to fall out of second back into neutral, which is quite annoying/embarassing. Its only when I really nail it, throttle wide open.

Has anyone experienced this?

Happened, but easily counted on one hand...
I will probably go for this kit when my gearbox starting acting up:

Think someone at the old forum installed a set!? More info there?

OUCH!!

I know what's that…
Can be gear selector fork bent or dogs worn out..

I have that on my Thundercat… everytime I opened the throttle wide, it would jump from second to neutral…
Took the engine out, remove the sump and you can get acess to the gear links… one gear selector fork is worned out, because of being hit when the gear jumps, and the dogs are worn…
So when you open it, it jumps….

That's why I have my thundercat like this now…

LOL.... well, behind the camera is about a 50m area too... I wish!!

But it´s quite ok now, the RSV mille is gone and the FRZ1000 is gone too...so I have more room to work on.
But the engine is waiting for a mate to have a look at, so everything is tidy and in place now... I have loads of room there! lol
