Nice looking bike, but really should have a USD front end to match the modern looks. Would give the bike a perfectly balanced appearance.
It must be true, I read it on the internet.

Some nice touches on it but yes, that look has kinda been done to death by Yamaha recently on their newer models and it`s not one I particularly like to be honest.
Those wheels look super light and the rear shock mounting is innovative though.

Don't like it. Cheap suspension and no fairing. This is not a true successor of the TRX. :(

Fairing? Nah, more capacity? YEA!!!!! let`s see a full 998cc version or utilise the XTZ1200 basic motor with a close ratio box.

Be a trick set of wheels to a standard trx...looks like the standard rear caliper is used maybe,..silver spots up front, wonder where they came onto that idea ? good to see the external oil filter there in the front of motor too.

I pretty much like where they were going with it... I kind of wish they'd made this the MT-09 with bigger twin and USD front.

I really like it, and Yamaha have pitched it right so it'll appeal to newbies, commuters and supertwin racers :D

It's the right bike at the right time- Yamaha needed a small, relatively low powered, unimposing bike that wasn't an IL4 600 to compete with the Gladius 650 and ER6. Very few people would buy a brand new, larger cc TRX anyway despite what you all say - they didn't sell well when up against sportsbikes first time around and nothing has changed in the last fifteen or so years.

I would buy one of these new if I could afford it. As it goes, I might be able to afford one in ten years' time
