The VFR swingarm is reported to be heavier than a (any) stock dual swingarm, some claim 2 times, some claim only 12%, most of the VFR guys are comparing them against CBR swingarms, not sure which years though, obviously that would vary. It'd have to much heavier than a stock TRX swingarm though.
There's an interesting direction MV, didn't weigh the VFR rear at the time...too excited..., but didn't seem that much heavier to throw bout, ELF racing patents ...which made honda pay for each unit produced,..about 3mm thick alloy and obviously very hollow through out....but the trx rear swing will be the winner no doubt, also a weight gain would be the 180 hoop as well over the OEM Rex 160 surely...don't notice it mind....I just sit back to the bum stop and ride the big 180 metzeler m5 and let the front do its thing....big grins
Aprilia end cans are made of titanium and weigh extremely little, ..cheap second hand as they come in pairs..other side is damaged, so the remaining is good for a Rex two into one...race versions are usually 63 mm inlet too....my end can weighs as little as a 1.8 kilos with the titanium steel wool and are straight through breathers.
Big grins.
Anyway, back to the thread topic.

I tipped the scales at a round 80 kilos (pun intended) at that stage ,now i can't even get my back protector on under my suit
I went on a diet this year for that very reason and now get the full back protector on no problems. On the scales at 76kg .

140 pounds, thats 10 stone! outragous! Must be all that sunshine.
I have been on a fasting diet where i only have 600 cals for 2 days a week. I am still doing it and it suits me as i can eat normally for the rest of the week. Been doing it since last christmas.
Lost just over a stone, but its pretty stable now. Couldnt face having to buy another 1 piece suit. [-(

My missus says she isnt going to eat chocolate anymore unless someone buys it for her. Give that a week i'd say and we'll see.

I get 179kg with the front being 90kg and the rear 89kg. It is a track bike but still has a few savings to come. I reckon 165kg wet might be just about be achievable but as already mentioned, I could do with shifting 20 kilos myself first.

Pound for pound though, I believe that mass shifted from a bike and particularly at the unsprung bits and other extremities, will bring a greater benefit than simply shifting mass from the rider. Being fit and strong is probably more important than pure lightness.

Ideally of course, you'd be the size of Pedrosa with a TRX the same weight as a Moto3 bike.

I can imagine, with lifting a 200 kg bike on a scale!
But you meant a piece of wood, right?
Yeah mate, lost in translation that one! Wood, house bricks, anything would do

Bloody Queenslanders, when are you bringing in the metric system? Or did it get thrown out with daylight savings? It's not like the metric system will fade your curtains.

Still there mate, and some fool from work gave me a freddo this afternoon too, also now sat on my desk.

I am going to see if I can build up a huge pile of chocolate before Christmas, where I will probably crack and eat the lot in seconds :D
