Naaa, very few new bikes break any boundaries, most has been done before, sometimes a long time ago too.

Re: Yamaha plan new crossplane twin
the big news about this engine is potentially not the 270 crank, rather its what looks like a unicam arrangement but nobody is listening to me la la la la la ](./images/smilies/eusa_wall.gif)

They're calling it the FZ9 or MT-09 depending upon where you're from, but it looks like this:Killerwhale wrote: Please give us a Yamaha R7-R8 with either the triple or a 4 cross....R7 would be better for insurance over here.
Would not be disappointed if it looked somewhat like the OW-2....
Maybe take up a battle with sucki in the 750 segment....
Also the day 675...
850cc "crossplane" (120 degree) triple.

A bicam would be useless Cobba, but a ragingpooftacam might come in handy.

Hey plenty of us `old guys` with high bars n sh*t can ride around power rangers on plastic rockets you know!
I`ve left plenty of mega powerful rocket pilots eatin my exhaust gases riding humble singles on the right roads.

Re: Yamaha plan new crossplane twin
But it`s not what the marketing boys tell them the market place wants so it`ll likely not happen. That said, the MT09 would be easy to turn into that type of thing with different bodywork, yokes, bars etc.

I'm not sure that you want to know... looks like was coming from the inspiration of the Ducati SupersportSDN wrote:Looks more like an updated TDM to me guys - but where did our beloved TRX spring from?
