Would an 96 YZF750R shock fit onto a TRX?
What is the shock length (same as a TRX........345mm IIRC?)?
Are the top and bottom shock mounts the same?

The YZF shock is just a couple off mm's shorter but this can be made up by placing a washer where the top yoke that the shock mounts to bolts to the frame.
problem solved.. I'm about to do the same with a rebuilt YZF750SP shock.
