Post by dixonj » Sat Jan 05, 2013 8:21 pm

Hi all, tzx660 is starting his winter rebuild of his trx 878 and has asked me to post on here. So far paul has fitted a JE big bore kit and had zorst big bore headers made and is planning a hoast of mods for his bike which i hope to post on here. Recently he has aquired some R1 2004 usd forks (from me) yzf 750 swing arm, thunderace rear wheel. I called round to see paul today to see how he was getting on.

An R6 rear shock would probably be a follower with the quality of parts going on here..if you are , a small amount of upper reinforcement needs to be removed from the yzf rear to allow the shock resevoir to work freely..and needs to be dropped through from above...also, ive noted a few times that the side arms of the yzf are often a bugger with fouling muffler cans..a good fun set up though...looking to the 878 piston fitting...what thoughts to useing a tdm 900 barrel with the trx head..?i think i have heard someong doing that somewhere..[obv there is the frame lug issue]..

Small update Paul turned some slugs so as to get a good strong weld on the modded rear end.

very tidy job on the rear subframe and you get to hang on to the luggage hooks. Great way to do it. Keep it coming
