Ebay is your friend
I spend a lot of time trawling ebay for parts. Quite often when doing a project I end up buying parts just to see if they can be made to fit and then finding they can't so I just relist them and quite often profit.
I also do a lot of the things myself such as fabbing brackets, spacers, welding etc and I did all the paint (still needs a clearcoat yet) and I also do lots of favours for people so I can call them back in at project time.
I'm lucky in some ways as I have a vinyl plotter at work for graphics and a Powder coater who does all my stuff for free (Fastline coatings, Preston, Steve, Top Guy 01772 562550 ).
No point throwing heaps of money at a TRX, you'll never get it back

Well headers are done, Y piece is done, just a small link section and we are ready for MOT next week.......couple of minor jobs to finish but I'm really looking forward to riding this puppy with the FCR's and 17/43 gearing . May well be going to Cadwell on 21st which is ironic as Cadwell is where I first ever rode a TRX at the Yamaha race school about 97....fell in love with them then and always said I would have one

Some bore on those headers Gix, just how big an internal diameter are they?
I see a Chinese generic race can / megaphone from Ebay being put to use too.
You `might` find your power is pushed lower down the rev range with the bigger bore headers.
