i wonder if anyone can help me? again please, i have boughta set of m.p.h. clocks to replace my kilometre clocks. the only thing is they show 45000 miles whereas my bike shows 30000 ks, does anyone know how i can wind these clocks back to 20000 miles please? i did hear that if you connect it up to an electric drill and run it in reverse that will wind it back but i dont know any ideas please. i dont want to do anything illegal i just want to show the true mileage of the bike. thanks

the clocks are pretty much a sealed unit.
I have done the drill thing on other speedos but not on the trx. Dont see why it wont work though.
Just give it a little go and see what happens, but be careful you dont mangle the cable connector on the clocks.
Or swap them over when the current clocks read the same as your new clocks.
Or swap them and then ride everywhere backwards for a while.

yes, this does work on the TRX, I tried it for the same reason in that I swapped the clocks and wanted to put the correct mileage on the replacement ones, however, the drill only gets the speed up to about 120kmph (75mph), so depending on how many miles you want to add:

75miles = 1 hour

750miles = 10 hours

7,500 miles = 100 hours

75,000 miles = 1,000 hours

and so on

i decided to just ride a lot more and let the clocks roll over by them selves

thanks for your help guys i dont want to mangle my speedo so i thik i will just take your advice and ride backwards everywhere, or i could just fit them as i dont intend selling the bike cheers dave

Could you take the clock face off the mph clock and put it in place of the kmph one....

Just ride the damm thing and when you sell it put the old one back in by then you've prob put in 100,000k's.... 15,000/20,000 km a yr isn't hard down here.

You can change the clock faces pretty easily - so may be the best option
