right! Here's some pics. Tomorrow I'll take some pictures of the bike, this is only an appetizer.

First, the swingarm: R1 caliper and mount, custom torsion bar. The rim is in the workshop, waiting for painting.

Image

the rear disc: obviously the Brembo-Motorquality one is the one on the right, the other is the original Yamaha.

Image

Front discs, a gift from a good friend

Image

the original dashboard, i've cutted off the speedo and replaced the dials. A St. Patrick medal, bought in the Dublin Cathedral, will help and add an irish taste...

Image

a shoot of the bike, before painting

I do like the nice clear photos, thanks for posting them. 8)

Is it a case of hitting 9,000 revs and then praying to Saint Patrick

Very nice job =D> but if there`s ONE thing I would comment on it`s the inlet tracts being too smooth, a dremmelled surface is just about right, the `roughness` actually aids induction.
The exhaust ports can indeed be somewhat smoother.
Here`s a good example, a Yamaha 660cc single cylinder head, this particular one from a Raptor quad but you`ll note the inlets being left rough.

And this one too, done on a CNC porting machining centre:

thank you, Mincehead
one thing i've omitted to say is that the head is not finished and needs some works from my favourite grinding shop (is this correct?): planing, valves seats working and a sanding of the inlets ducts. I've polished these sections because the finishing was really bad as you can see in the picture (sorry is not so clear) full of residues from the fusion and steps:

Image

now the inlet trats are straight and without imperfections and the worker can sandblast the surfaces making them perfect.
I apologize once again for my bad english, i'm trying to write the best i can (and Google translator can help me but only a little)

praying St Patrick also lets you use Guinness in the tank: an irish friend confessed me that the bike runs really better :D

Your English is fine, I know plenty of English folk whose English is worse than yours!
And thanks for the explanation, I understand now WHY you`ve done what you`ve done, good job. =D>

Well, i've taken pictures of my bike, half finished.
Do you like it?: as you can see the painting is a nice homemade work, i've used a ice white paint and Ferrari red...

italian joke :P : here's the bike, the nose cone is still missing, waiting for the painting and mounting brackets. I'll screw the dash directly on the brackets. The frame is still the old one, i have in my restroom another one and i'm still working on it waiting for some money and time: i will paint it in matt black and i wish to build a rear aluminium subframe after cutting the rear section but i must wait.

Image

the seat, black sponge cutted and sanded by myself

Image

the tank decals are gorgeus reproductions from Germany. Very expensive (55 euros) but -in my opinion- astonishing.

Image

................

Image

"Moto d'altri tempi" means "bikes from other times", and the classic paintwork (the black stripes are reflective!) would like to remind the years when fantasy, bravery and madness moved the racing bikes... is a tribute to my childhood dreams.
The label in gaelic language means "kiss my ass". A must have to drive crazy the chaser  and remind me a land that i love like Italy.

front master cylinder, original reservoire.

Image

more pics coming soon, thanks for interest, mates.

Yes I`m familier with that particular Gaelic phrase.
Just an observation, but you`re missing a rivet from the right hand exhaust end plate. She looks to be running excessively rich on that cylinder too.

That master cylinder looks to be one from an Aprilia RSV:

youre right: the master cylinder is a "semi-radial" Brembo one, stock part for many italian bikes like Aprilia, Ducati and others (like indicated in the auction you've linked). Nothing special, but enough to serve the blue dot calipers and surely better than the TRX's one... for 50 euros was a good deal...

Concerning the mufflers, i will drop them in the rubbish, saving only the joint pipes so i'll weld them to the two Micron mufflers i've found. Once finished the work on the frame, brakes and other stuff i'll spend some time to check the engine. (I'm scared!).

Hmmm yes, very nice alloy radiator. How much more capacity does it have to the stock TRX radiator?
You`ll be having to fabricate up some new inlets and outlets to be welded in to suit the TRX?

thank you Mincehead, as many other parts i have found this one for free!!
Is a "MB Motorsport" radiator, MB is the official supplier for Kawa, Ducati and Yamaha MotoGP & SBK racing teams and so the quality is really high. Probably is the best brand on the market and i am proud to say that is a GENUINE Made in Italy jewel... Italians, do it better, and do betterr racing parts also!
The price of this one is around 500-600 euros, i don't know if is for Ducati or MV Agusta but it worth as much as the bike itself! I will remember this at my first crash.

http://www.mbmotorsport.it/index.html

I must still check the capacity, but i think is about the double of the stock one. Anyway the dry weight is about the half.
the upper brackets fits perfectly without modifications, i must weld a new inlet (and will be enough find a different hose for the outlet) and a pair of bolts or brackets on the left and right sides, to hold it firmly.
I'll work hard in August, i hope the bike will run in September... i have also R6 2002 forks with a full FG Gubellini's racing upgrade, but the crisis made me poor and i must delay some works for the terrific lack of money...
