penske rear shock

found what looks like a good deal. a Penske rear shocker from an R6 going for not very much money, in "barely used" condition.

i was considering an R6 shock anyway (the shock on my bike has seen better days) and this just seems like an all-round better deal than the standard R6 model, which is (all things considered) still a fairly budget shock, despite being arguably better than the standard TRX shock.

thoughts? i'm pretty much ready to just snaffle this bargain up.

any horror stories about Penske shocks? anything i should know?

If it's the one on ebay, I dont think it's the correct shape fitting for the trx or Kayla's adapter.

Penske are a good manufacturer, quality kit but it ain`t no good if it ain`t gonna fit!

It might fit but you need it to post an image or the link to the Ebay listing then folk might be able to confirm it either way.

i'm not totally sure, because i don't have one in front of me, but how exactly is this that different from the standard R6 shock in terms of fitting?

google and photographs aren't revealing much, so what am i missing?

Here`s the shock `type` you need to be looking for with the forked bottom instead of the eye:

Mind saying that, there may well be a way to fit the Penske shock but you`ll be taking that risk that it`s a fair bit of work to make it fit if you buy it.
