TDM Top Yolk/Triple Clamp
Does anyone know it the TDM Top Yolk will fit with a TRX Stem and Bottom Yolk?
I thought I'd read on here that it did, but it seems a bit to easy and thought I'd check.
I'm trying to fit some Jota 'bars and avoid paying through the nose for a CNC set up...

Re: TDM Top Yolk/Triple Clamp
Pretty sure that no model of tdm will fit as they are 43mm and trx are 41mm The early tdm ones I think were smaller at 41mm i am not sure how far apart the spacing for the fork legs are and also for the steering tube offset, I had a look at using a tdm for mine but was told it was a no go.
You would think though that there is a top yoke off of another bike somewhere that would fit, even if it wasn't a yam one.

I think a late XJ900 yoke might be a candidate though.
edit- I've just bought one for £20 all-in*, I'll let you know if it fits when it arrives
*edit again- cos if it doesn't it's a cheap gamble and I can easily make it fit something else

Okey dokey, the XJ900 yoke doesn't work, the pitch is 210mm and the offset is 25mm (I think). Meh. Back to the drawing board

Re: TDM Top Yolk/Triple Clamp
The yoke isn't raked so the standard (25 degrees?) rake would stay the same, but if you were to use both XJ yokes the trail would increase-fung wrote:so that pitch and offset would give what rake and trail ?

which would make the bike more stable in a straight line and need more effort to turn. My bf's Buell has a really steep rake (22 degrees) and a really small offset (20mm I think), whereas older bikes (70s-80s Yam TZs) had relatively relaxed rakes and large offsets.
