The youngest TRX?
Down at a local bike shop at Nerang (behind the Gold Coast, Queensland) I came across a "May 2001 TRX". (05 2001 on the compliance plate) Blue and white, silver engine, black wheels not an import but an Australian new delivered - ie: no Brembo's, black tacho face but it did have the Yamaha tuning forks on the dash next to the tacho. Didn't know there were any that new
Does this mean we can continue to celebrate the 10 year thing until 2011

I bought mine in July 2001 (used) and there certainly were still a few new examples in showrooms at the time & for a while after. Funny how the dealers treated them as pretty 'old hat' while I was just discovering a new toy I am yet to get even remotely tired of.
Roll on the anniversaries I say.

TRX #2 in blue and silver but with metallic grey wheels is complied May 2001 - it was bought by its first owner a Ulysses guy
in June 2002 from BikeBiz in Sydney. Ms T and I bought it privately in November 2004 with 2684kms on the clock! It now has 8700kms and is like new. However, we've modded it with bluespots, racetech suspension front and rear and 04 ZX-6R dogbones to raise its arse (Ms T can no longer put her feet on the ground
I really hope she doesn't see this post!) , plus dropped the clamps by 15mm on the forks. I understand from Mark Condon at 'Biz that it was from the last importation into Australia. So... if it's not the youngest, it's probably the tallest! F-it/ouch, GO AWAY... sprung...
