Re: winter project.....
i am asking because I have just landed myself a trx race bike, and the engine has kent cams and FCRs.
I bought it mainly because of the spares it has that I need, but I now have a tdm 900 motor to go in, or a race prepped trx 850 lump.
dunno which way to jump now! my original thoughts were to stick with the fuel injection project, but after speaking to various people around here they seem to think the FCRs are ones to go for.
What I am looking for is a) something that interests me and the fuel injection does, but more importantly b) something with a lot of character. If the FCRs provide the character I may have to go with those.
Even though I think the fuel injection can ultimately release more power.
Sorry to hijack your thread mate, but any thoughts and opinions are welcome as my head is battered

Re: winter project.....
First TRX 900 dyno...
Red line: JE878 11,5:1
Blue: Wiseco 900 11,2:1
Used the old rings wich where a bit too worn, next time= new rings and up the compression...and find what that dip in tourque are
On his old dyno (wich i started on) it would read just over 100hp & 94,6Nm

Re: winter project.....
Yep, but after looking at it for a while and knowing what the mech did i think the acc pump is the culprit for the rich dip at 5k revs...gotta turn it off and see what happens!!coxylaad wrote:very good - so the 900 lump is giving more top end then?

I´ve got MOT in april already so it has to be done....also my mech is doing a lot of pre-season race bikes in JAN so he had to have it done by now.
Will hid the new engine with my full fairing for the MOT and keep fingers crossed, just don´t wan´t to type it now.
(In Sweden one can change for another TRX enjun without problem but with bigger cc it has to be typed)
