You know, I`ve been thinking about the spoked wheel issue a great deal, would love spoked wheels on my Skorpion too. I think the only way to go is to approach one of the birt bike hub manufacturers to cost programming a CNC machining centre to knock up specials.
There is one Sweedish company whose kit is top notch too ISR:

They don`t come cheap though, in GB pounds you are looking at £1533.35 for the hubs alone, you might have to use their calipers and spokes too although rim choices could be your own. My SR543 has deep flanged Akront rims laced to the stock hubs with stainless spokes.

I`ve got other irons in the fire and will update this thread when I`ve done some more research.
ISR will be having some business from me in the near future I think, I love their radial master cylinders and clutch perch / lever combinations.:

Oh no, spoked wheels can be much lighter and their less mass also helps in the handling stakes, cut much less drag too.
ISR are too expensive, unless I come into some `disposable` money.
But I am going to do more research on this, I reckon the dirt bike hub manufacturers hold some promise.
Alpina do some nice kit, standard fitment on Dukes, Sachs, Guzzi Griso and a few other European bikes. I hear they are around 1,500 Euro`s a pair depending on the specification / size you want.:

Other one to Check out is Haan Wheels form Holland.

Classic is doing the spacial stuff (BMW GS, Kawa, Jag)and Racing is doing the MX bikes.

They have respoked my GS wheels with Stainless spokes using the OEM hubs and re-anodized rims.

Because my switch gear looked a little faded and old, I found a wrecker on the south side of my fair city that had some near new, second hand bar switches off a FZ1 Yammy which I scored for $130 the pair so I simply cut and soldered the TRX plugs/loom onto them and Kapow! Polished my clutch lever and replaced my brake M/cyl, Fitted the speedo tach combo, but not finished wiring that in as yet ( backed off the beers during this part of the build, as I need to think.)

Well I promised myself, that I would not touch a beer till it all worked and now it does,, so I shall crack a cold one and tidy this lot up. Still dont have a oil light,, but hey WHO DOES? I probably will work on solving that little problem.

The problem isn`t spokes or rims but the fitment of the spokes at the hub, because spokes have to `splay` most normal hubs modified to fit into a TRX would have issues with the calipers hitting them.
That`s why the billet CNC`ed dirt bike hub makers look promising, the flanges and drillings for the spokes could be further inboard on the hub .

In my opinion, spoked wheels would be a nice touch to add to the look of the cafe racer. Talking about it in any other sense, to me, does not add up. For example, if you really are seriously looking at the handling aspect of wheel weight ect, why not just go carbon? These would probably be around the same cost as the spoke wheel option. Gp/ superbikes bikes dont run spoked wheels
Its like later model front ends and swing arms,,, why not simply make a TRX motor fit a late model R6 chassis, if you like the engine design that much.. it would be a much easier task than the other way around.

Well I cut the front guard for a better Cafe look, painted the obligatory stripe down the middle, fitted some Chinese front disc and bolted on my Calipers that I painstakingly stripped clean , repainted and now I at least have a front wire spoke-less front wheel on the bike to sit and look at.

i m not a fan of polished rims, i think they look old fashioned.....................................humm, think they will look good here and a good compromise over spoked

I like looking at myself while checking tyre pressures MH... more a vanity than a obligatory thing
