Bloody hell - just got back from one of the best track days ever. Big group of us (me on the only TRX) on the full GP circuit. For November the weather was su-f#cking-perb !
All for £65 - it really doesn't get better than this.

Not days, about 3 1/2 hours (compared to the 1 1/2 I was going to for oh... 21 years or so...). Still, the 'near' track is one I don't really like. "Okayama International" (Formally TI Aida). I raced there once mid 90s and I'm sure the TRX won't have a chance in hell of being competitive like it was at "Mine Circuit".
I guess I'll probably end up going some day, but I was spoiled with the instructor gigs at Mine (free for me, and ride every session at my own pace).

That section scares the shit out of me even in the dry (it's a fair bit steeper than it looks on TV and is very fast) and is the real key to a decent lap. I was going as fast as I dared (which was about as fast as pretty much anyone else) and the bike and tyres (once they were warm) took all I could throw at them.

I can agree with that about the Craner Curves.
Personally I love the uphill section from the old hairpin, all the way up to the blind top corner the name of which escapes me. That part of the track really flows for me.

Shwantz, Macleans and Coppice.
A bit of a test of faith as the (correct) entry to Macleans is virtually blind
