Hi, time for an oil change, price of them on ebay means a (small) saving but what to buy. Not going down the unbranded route, too risky. K&N on ebay for £8 including delivery. Have searched the forum (not easy as it removes the word oil) and found mention of champion filters from halfords at £3.50. Do these fit correctly and what is the part number?????
My TRX is now poorly, it had a fight with a an old triumph and came off worst. It just fell to bits, the old brit had a bent foot rest and slightly bent stantions (he hit the back of me). I now need:-
LH mirror
clutch lever
bar ends
indicators
repair to faring
repair to alternator cover
gear lever
repair to lh can
complete tail piece
repair to number plate bracket
paint and transfers
Does anyone know where to get the carbon look sticker on the rear (see pic) its the same shape as the standard yam but I'm sure its a copy

Hein Gericke or Halfords work fine and dandy.
Yamaha generic, fit all their singles from SR250`s through to the SZR660 and the trail `versions`, XV`s 750 to 1000`s, TRX, TDM`s etc.
Hein Gericke always have them as do Halfords.
Part no for Hein Gericke is 31114150010, listed at £4.99 in their current catalogue.

Aside from the Filter i have virtually all of the parts you require in my garage left over from our current 2 projects - another member on here from overseas is interested in most of the parts we have (so has first dibs) but he hasn't requested any of the items that you have. PM me a full list of everything you require & i'll see what i can come up with - all parts are from a 8K miles bike & i'll do forum rates to get it all shifted

Ouch, hope you're ok?
Oil Filter: Go for a Champion one from Halfords, code X302. As good as any and cost £3.50-ish.
Looks like NWS can sort you out, but I have a spare lever and a spare pair of harris clip-ons. You may find it impossible to shift the bar ends out the standard bars, they seem to be welded in!!

Hi, I'm fine just a brused knee, thanks for asking. Thanks for the help with the oil filter both of you. Any preference to the type of oil. I was going for Putoline DX4, any thoughts?

Semi-synthetic 10w40 is all the `stock` TRX needs, although if the motors been tuned then fully synthetic makes sense.
I use Halfords semi-synth, cheap as chips, especially because I`m a Halfords trade customer.

been debated many times before - have a search
If you are interested, I use Hein Gericke semi synth (£13 for 4 litres) in all my 4Ts. With teh TRX I change every 2000 miles (more frequently if I am doing track days) - never had any problems

Hi, went to use the Hein Gericke oil filter I have had sitting on the bench since last autum and it does not fit, its a bit too tall. I am not willing to risk stripping the threads to save £2.50. The Hein Gericke is £4.99, Yam filiter is £7.50. My advice is don't bother with copies it not worth the risk.
Cheers, Phil.

I bet it is the right one, they must go in the right way round and there is a closed cell foam `washer` to compress too. They are not a sloppy fit in the housing.
The Halfords Champion option is a good one, even comes with a new O ring if I remember correctly.

i'm running Motul 5100 and a yamaha filter.
IMHO seems to be the right combination for my conditions as oil consumption is low and start up is quieter.
Rod S bought K&N filters.
don't know how they went tho.
cheers
