FCR41's don't clear out til 3000rpm?
Does anyone else with FCR's have this problem or is there something I should be investigating? My FCR's have the accelerator pump on them, and run fine and dandy anywhere about around the 3000rpm mark.

(Not that I ever ride at 3,000 rpm but) mine pull absolutely fine from 2k so yes, you have a problem
you can either ride round it or get it to the dyno to rejet

Do your's splutter a little below 2k though?
I've already adapted my riding style to suit, though I get a few funny looks when I rev out to 3000rpm and have to slip the clutch for the first 20m. The OVER 2-1 on my bike isn't exactly quiet!
Obviously on the track/open road it isn't a problem, but motorway cruising in 5th gear can get a bit touchy, if the traffic slows down below 100kmh then I have to click down into 4th to accelerate away again.

I've noticed the difference under 3000rpm after doing the tps mod setting the timing to full advance ...No quite as responsive till i get to just around the 2500mark.. Doesnt yours have and aftermarket ignition system fitted set from memory set to full advance??? Is that what your feeling

It's a big twin with flatslide carbs - they don't work under 2kredkiwi wrote:Do your's splutter a little below 2k though?

and wtf are you doing in 5th at 100kmh - you should only just be out of first
do you have TPS on the carbs?
