I may be interested also...price pending... What price are they looking for Killer?

Ok, ok, I will ask eisi if he would be willing to ship the milled adaptor (at least) across Europe

I will keep you posted.

Investigating greetings from Munich!

PS: Meanwhile the main data for the project - maybe you find someone with a lathe and / or a milling machine?!

The drawing of the adaptor:

Further you need:

-a banjo bolt (I hope this is the right translation for "Doppelhohlschraube")
-an oil pressure switch from a VW bus (T2 or T3 diesel)

The drawing and eBay links are from Marc_88 who had this idea.

He dimensioned the whole thing to be mounted on the oil conduit at the cylinder head.

Any idea what pressure we're talking about here? with a dry sumped twin oil pump system the external pressures are low.
The recommended procedure after changing the oil and filter is to check for oil flow at the oil gallery bolt in the head near the exhaust camshaft, but only a dribble comes out...................

Out of interest, how many folks check that after changing the oil?

Looks good, I'm interested too. Is the place for the light already there?
If yes, then it proves yamaha (again) to be a real niggard. :?

Hi all!

Already before a few days eisi answered my question that he would of course send the adaptor(s) at least inside Europe.
But there should be an order for at least ten adaptors that it's worthwhile for the operator of the CNC machine ...

But he didn't tell me about the shipping costs ... but I think as soon as there are ten or so orders he will inform me, uh, you about it.

As to the pressure value: Since the measuring range of the pressure switch in the eBay-link is 0.15 - 0.35 bar and it does work well with them who use it I think this is it.

@Tarwetijger:
The space for the light is already there - all you need is a further socket and lamp and an advantageously red lens (piece of transparent plastic  ).

@dandywarhol:
I do check it after each oil change.
It's 20 seconds "work" and gives a good feeling :D 8)

Greasy greetings from Munich!

Hi all!

Ok, as said there should be an order of at least ten adaptors.

I'll be just the middleman gathering the orderers and the numbers - then I'll will submit the data to eisi who will entrust the CNC guy and then will ship them (after the money arrived at him I think   ).

So let's wait 'til the orders accumulate to at least ten pieces, then the orderers can give me there adresses via pm and in turn I give them the bank details of eisi and the amount of money they'll have to transfer (no handing over of black briefcases please! :? ).

Ok so far?

Then let's go:

TonyDevil ___ 4 adaptors
punica78 ____ 1 complete kit
Tarwetijger __ 1 complete kit

Collecting greetings from Munich!

Edit:
I'll complete the list in this posting so every one interested has not to search somewhere in this thread.
Complete kits are listet for now but their delivery is dependent on the amount of at least ten orders accumulating.

More edit:

The price for the complete kit is EUR 20,- plus shipping.

The complete kit encloses:
EUR 11,- Adaptor
EUR 6,- Pressure switch
EUR 1,- Washers
EUR 2,- Banjo bolt (used and up to now about 5 pieces available)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shipping to UK and NL is EUR 8,60 -
to Oz it would be EUR 13,90 without insurance and EUR 40,- with insurance.
