I found one on the US ebay. We can get them here in Australia for AUS$2750 retail or in the US for US$2095. After exchange and shipping it's cheaper to get it here. Go figure. I ahd a bit of a look today and I think the only place it could go is on the left hand side just beside the barels. Or maybe underneath the fuel tank where the air box is and using a plenum with fuel injection as it's much more compact. I might do a mock up of the Rotex and see where it can go.

Remember it requires a crankshaft drive,so inline with the outside of the crank is favourite whichever side you were considering fitting it.
You could offset it but more links/pulleys,bearings or gears in the drive train just means power and reliability loss.

Let us know how you get on,I for one am very interested in this project.

Yes, I was having another look tonight. The left hand crank cover sits out a long way so I am thinking right hand side with an extended shaft with a support bearing so as to negate having two belts. You could have the blower down low beside the right hand header, but I don't like the exposed position. I am fiscally challenged at the moment so I'll do a lot of planning in the meantime. It's also a juggle to decide on whether to do the Ford XR6 Falcon full mechanicals into '66 Mustang project I have on hold as well. So many projects, so few paydays.

i was having a think about this over a beer the other night.. on your left side case cover. Where your alt fits. Its possible to make a mechanical wiper seal come out off the crank. The bolt that holds it on, you could machine a whole new on, longer, so it sticks out past the plastic seal. Bingo, you have a crank pin. Not the cleanest, but its something.

With some playing, i honestly believe you can cut the case down and flush it a bit while still maintaining full function. Just means you can make it a bit more stream lined / clean looking. As for mounting the charger.. Thats anyone guess.
