TRX *supermotard* with pictures!

Post by Trixz » Mon Dec 29, 2008 11:07 pm

Hey everyone,

somebody entered our Dutch TRX topic with his TRX *supermotard*, which I've never seen before.

It's something different!

Don't know any spec's on the bike for just now, but what do you think?

Well, it's different alright... Really different
Good and brave effort, but some elements are looking to homemade for my taste.

KTM exhaust cans do not a supermoto make! Actually, I don't really understand the idea of huge supermotos - as with monster trailies, very, very few riders have the skill needed to ride them. Now, if you live in the middle of nowhere and need to ride dirt roads all the time, they make a lot of sense, but very few people fall into that category. :? As I understand it, even less of those people live in the Netherlands.

I rather like the looks though, but if you're going to do this to a TRX, IMO you really need the appropriate USD conversion, an appropriate shock, and either lightweight alloys or laced rims.

I quite like it. There a few bits I'd change- the tank is too high and maybe add some number boards and rad guards to finish the 'look' off, but it's quite nice and a change from the norm.

Love the principle/idea and quite like the bike, but not the exhausts. Was thinking of doing something similar if I get bored/crash mine.

I dare to have a different opinion and say it looks crap.If you want a supermotard buy a purpose built one and don't turn a work of art which is a TRX in standard form from something beautiful into something hidious. #-o

Well done - now you need to build your own special within 60 seconds or Steve will have to go to the pub again... :D *
