Are you doing track days with a full Akra system? Do the tracks you are going to, not have restrictions regarding the sound (dB's) of your bike?!

I'm not an expert about suspension, but I would start with stiffer springs, calculated for your weight. Wont cost you a fortune. Lots of lads on this forum also alter the damping, but I don't know the details of that kinda thing.

I'm about to give you the most important piece of advice you will ever get regarding first time track settings - don't f#cking fiddle about

For your first couple of track days, alll you need to know is if it works on the road it will work on track. Don't even fall for this bollox about dropping your tyre pressues either.

nb - this assumes you have set up your bike correctly for the road. If not, try a search for guidance on how to set the sag and then go from there.

Then as you get quicker yuo can start to have a tinker

A full akra system will easily meet 105db noise limits and I have seen them get under 102. Positively quiet next to mine (but then I struggled like feck to meet the 105 noise limit last time!)

As said, everyone has his own feeling with hers or his REX, on public roads or on track.

When mine was 'standard' in suspension, I've put everything back to yamaha standards and went on from there.
Yamaha standard, by the way, s*cks like nothing else IMHO
Do check your tyre wear if needed to finetune your suspension. Tyre pressure is something that is included in the 'total package' but isn't necessary the first thing to adjust when riding track days (first time).

I've got my settings, with standard suspension on another pc, so that will follow later if you're interested?

I am 100% behind what Phuk says. I was also desperate to get the settings right, tyre pressure, suspension etc in the beginning. But if it's your first trackday, You'll probably not notice any big differences anyway, it's better to ride with the settings You're used to instead of changing the bike's behaviour. Since You're not so heavy, my guess is that original settings will suit You very well in either case.

And if You want to start fiddling anyway, make sure the rubber is OK, sag/springrates, and then go on with tweaking. There's a sticky in the Tech forum with a handy "DIY" diagnosis chart.
