I'm also interested. Details such as year model of R1/R6, mounting points, photos of mounts/mounting, and if you'fe feeling extra generous, a little write up on how you modified it to fit.
Would save me (and others) a lot of R&D time. I'm certainly not asking for it to be done for me, but every bit helps
Thanks in advance to all you experts in the know.
Here's a couple of pages which got me wanting one:

umm.. does this help ? 2002 R1 tail. Tail light has indicators built into it so its all clean. Its changed a bit (internally) since then to make way for a few secret parts + it was only a prototype to see if it would fit. send me a PM if you want a detailed bit on it.. Else i can post up here when i get the time.

Personally, and this is just my personal subjective opinion mind, yours may vary, I don't think the R1 seat looks right on the TRX (generally). I think (personally and subjectively, mind) that an early v-twin TZ250 seat unit would look nicer, and more in keeping with the shape of the standard seat unit (and it'd flow nicely with the line of the tank).

Wow, could you be any more passive ?Kayla wrote:Personally, and this is just my personal subjective opinion mind, yours may vary, I don't think the R1 seat looks right on the TRX (generally). Heh, its ok to have an opinion, and i dont care if you say my bike is crap / looks shitty / whatever. I wont ever take it personally. This is the internet where you cant see me smirking / being sarcastic with most of my posts, and vice-versa.
As for the look of the R1 tail / seat. Yes, i do agree it looks out of place, but only to the tank. If the tank was different it would match up better. But thats what i like about the trx, the huge ass tank and the trellis frame + engine. It makes it unique. Ill be damned if im changing those. So ill make do.
I will say the R1 seat is WAY more comfy tho.. Oh, mine is HUGELY lower aswell over stock. Its very deceptive, but you sit a good 30mm lower. I can stand flat foot with my bum off the seat now.

Ha ha, I don't mean your bike looked crap, I meant that I didn't think (personally and subjectively) that the R1 seat units used by non-specific people on non-specific TRXs didn't look right (according to my subjective, personal opinion). Personally (and possibly even subjectively), I prefer the squarish shape of the standard seat unit or an early 90s TZ jobbie. But then I think that Wayne Rainey's 1992 YZR looks miles better than Rossi's 2008 M1.Quan-Time wrote:Wow, could you be any more passive ?Kayla wrote:Personally, and this is just my personal subjective opinion mind, yours may vary, I don't think the R1 seat looks right on the TRX (generally). Personal and subjective, innit?
