Thermostat

Does anyone know of an alternative to a genuine Yamaha part when replacing the thermostat? Mine's playing up and it's running a bit warm.
Now I expect to pay dearly for genuine Yammy parts, but I balked when they told me it was going to be something like 78 Aussie peso's for a lousy thermostat!
