Hi,
Had a free day today so decided it was time to get my shock off give it a good clean regrease all the linkages, and paint the bottom of the shock and dog bones.
What i was wondering, can the shock be completely taken apart ? and if so how do i go about doing it ? Did not want to take the gas canister assemlby apart as not sure how it can be refilled. can the spring be completely removed ? The inside of the shock is all pitted and could do with a good clean / painting.
any advice ?

Re: rear shock dissasembling
spend the money wisely and either buy a good after market shock or get a pro to refurbish it for you
i got a nearly new EMC rear shock from this forum and it made a great difference from the old tired OE one- didnt think i would notice that much difference but i did
