Fuel pump problem

Post by tiny » Mon Jul 07, 2008 9:55 pm

Has anyone had a problem with fuel pump leaking fuel into vacuum pipe, and filling the inlet manifold with petrol when stood for two day's or more, I have put new fuel tap on because that was leaking but the problem is still there, pipe's are connected correctly, I think it's the pump but I could do with second opinion before I buy a new pump. :?

sounds like the pump diaphragm is split. this will allow fuel down the vacuum line.

i may have a spare in the garage.
