This is what I replaced the TRX with

Post by PhatVR6 » Mon Jun 30, 2008 11:31 pm

Yes, the last of my TRX's went yesterday, along with all the parts. I just thought it was time to move on and have a clear out so i just let the guy take everything.

I'd deliberated long and hard about what to replace it with, but the answer had been staring me in the face for a long time, and was in fact the only reason i got into TRX's int he first place, because i thought it looked and sounded like one of these.

and So I present to you, my Ducati Monster S4

I'm a happy bunny.

Serious brembo brakage. The wheels have Brembo logo's cast in them too, but are labelled Marchesini.

I am amazed at how similar the TRX was to the duc, for the money they're cracking bikes, I just felt the need to move on an buy the bike I always wanted in the first place. I absolutely love it, it took me about 10 mins on it to decide it was the perfect bike for me and that i'd made the right decision. The only fault I can give it is that the clutch is a bit hard to hold in, but i've got a bad finger so it might be that. Brakes are amazing, makes a mockery of the R1 setup I had on the TRX, and the power, well, it's fun put it that way :-) think of a TRX but times everything by 200% and you get the idea.

Thanks to all on the TRX forum for all the help over the last 3 years, and for convincing me that twins are the way to go, I'll never go to a 4 now.

That's just plain weird...

I got rid of a Monster to get a TRX!

I got sick of it not starting and being so long it hurt my wrists and not being able to filter through traffic in London.

Still, by the time I have finished with the TRX it will have the turning circle of a articulated lorry :-)
