Omegaman,
Caliper is painted using Plasticote Project paint and laquer. Avaialble from halfords.
Headers look better in the pics than they actually are. Hours of Auto Solvol and they actually still look a bit rough..
Before pics following shortly

Heres a few before
Fairing was in 4 pieces, years of caked on crud, brakes calipers siezed, fuel tank and carbs full of goo, subframe corroded, chain was so corroded the rear wheel would not turn, fork legs chipped and corroded.
These pictures were taken after the first layer of crud was removed

Nice bike, good job Offspring... BTW, taste in bikes - 10.

Restoring skills - 10.

Taste in bands - 0!

What are the internals of the engine like? If she's been sitting there rusting so much her rear wheel wouldn't turn, I'd be amazed if she is entirely healthy on the inside.

Triton,
Bike had the same owner for 11 years and came with a full stealership service history inc all the work shop sheets for each service. All the damage had been done in the last 12 months as it had not been used. Owner claimed to have started the engine regularily and it was running when i collected it with a good battery.
I did an Oil and filter change, new air filter, had the valve clearances set (not by me, far too technical) new clutch friction plates, carbs rebalanced after the strip and clean and new plugs.
Done about 500 miles since and so far no probs.

Great job, it's so shiny!
But did you notice the monstrous hamster in your garden?
