Spark plug color
This is how my sparkplugs look like:
No idea how long they have been in there.
K&N filter was already fitted and yesterday i drilled out my original cans like so: http://trx850.motomaniac.net/forum/view ... f=6&t=3130
My thoughts where that the spark plugs are a bit to 'dry' and now with the cans opened up I guess it will run even dryer! do I need to adjust my pilot screws?
Standard the screws are set at 2 turns, hayens suggest 2 1/2 turns. What gives a more rich mixture? 2 or 2 1/2 turns?
Where are the pilot screws located? behind the floaters?

Re: Spark plug color
fine but old...............stick some new ones in.
don't believe anything in the Haynes manual unless you get it confirmed from somewhere else. it is full of lies/bollocks.
pilot screws - Yamaha manual states 2 turns out, and is correct. If you set them to 2 1/2 turns out with standard jetting, needles etc it will pop and fart really bad. Dynojet spec 2 1/2 turns out with their kit and it's fine.
