Well, finally got around to converting the TRX to a "superbike" style to accomodate my partner, as she was obviously not comfortable with the low clip-ons.

Still got a few things to tidy up, lockstops mostly and horn wiring.

What da ya think?

No fairings were harmed in the conversion!

Needed longer brake lines, but with some careful rerouting, the stock throttle and clutch lines were used.

The front master cylinder just sweeps inside the fairing at full lock, but I am replacing the m/c with one from a FZS600 fazer, which is tidier and will give even more clearance. The clutch lever side isn't an issue at all. Fitting 2mm shims to the lock stops will keep the switch gear well away from the tank.

We had the chance to ride it at the weekend, and the difference in my partners' confidence was easy to see, she was chucking the thing around for fun. No stumbling and shuffling at lights or junctions.

So a result methinks.

Thanks Steve, and adding to the mutual appreciation society, it was your conversion that pointed me in the direction that I needed to go!

I've had to back the front suspension settings off a bit aswell, cos with a lot less weight over the front, it was a bit firm over the bumps.

Wheelies nicely too!

Just a couple of images to show the revised brake master cylinder setup. From a Fazer 600.

Much neater without all that plastic shit and rubber hose.

Mine (TRX) or the Fazer ones?

cos the TRX ones aren't "bar ends", well actually they are the end of the bar if you see what I mean, haven't trimmed them and installed proper "bar ends" yet.
