to be honest Dave i think there's to much needs replacing. If it's offered to me at silly money I'll have it back to break, but otherwise not.

Was that a custom tank shape Youngy or can anyone buy one?

Glad to hear your ok. Bloody women drivers (sorry Jak), one backed into the scooter last week and knocked it over. Said she hasnt done anything like this ever before, until i pointed out the other 4 dints in her bumper.

She hit it that hard it was in gear and the paint from her bumper was at the top of the tire.
Hope you have a speedy recovery!

BLOODY HELL!!! You can say that again! bloody hell!!!youngy wrote: Guess I was lucky she didn't take me along with the bike.
Man, that just sucks! But it's you that counts and not the bike. Damned good thing she wasn't driving a big SUV or a truck... lorry.
Make sure you get that neck thoroughly checked before you sign off on any insurance papers. If you feel dizzy, weak, headaches and nausea that gets better when you lie down you might have what I got from my traffic accident "cerebral-spinal fluid leak". The only way to see it is to inject radio active dye into your spinal column and have an MRI. Not fun!
Glad to hear you are basically in one piece. And at least grab the ohlins off that bike if you can, and whatever other goodies you can.
Max

Still basically porked. My riding days are over for the immediate future...nukes wrote:How is the neck now Max?
In some ways though I guess it was for the better. When I got older and my body wouldn't let me enjoy off road riding the way I did when I was a scrawny teen I gave it up. With the street / race bikes I enjoyed track time and hardly ever rode on the road. "My track" was closed two years ago right after the 4hr race, which was probably the most fun I've ever had racing (the Duc 999 boyz will never live that down). Having no circuit nearby and only the road just wasn't enough for me.
The doc doesn't think I should risk it though or I could end up a lot worse than I am now.

Really? why's that then?Max wrote:the 4hr race, which was probably the most fun I've ever had racing (the Duc 999 boyz will never live that down)
Nukes ... don't apologise ... I hate women drivers too
Youngy ... that's quite a mess!!! Hopefully the bumps and bruises are really just that - like Max says be careful about your neck!

Re: My white TRX is no more
Sorry to hear about the prang.

Definitely don't sign anything or admit that you're otherwise uninjured (I mean aside from the obvious stuff) Don't know how many accidents you've had previously, but as you may or may not know, things like neck and spinal injuries or long-term (low level I mean!) damage to the brain can take from a little while to a very long while to mainfest themselves.
Hope you make her insurer pay every penny that bike cost you. No reason to take a discount as it's clearly her fault - tot up the replacement cost of everything and send them the bill and a letter, with a copy to your insurer.
Sadly, it's my experience that the sort of person who runs into you in the first place tends to be the sort of low-life sack of s*** that will make up a bogus excuse for their behaviour instead of just admitting it ("missed the brake" is tosser-speak for "I was on my cellphone but I don't want a huge fine!"). If they were responsible, they would probably have been looking where they were going so as not to harm anyone. I've been rear ended by shit drivers 3 times (pedestrian crossing, traffic lights and parked!) luckily each time I was in a car. In each case, nothing significant legally or financially happened to the driver. It might help to keep in regular touch with the police who attended, ask them to press CPS to charge her, and try to track down some witnesses. That way she won't get to have another go at you on your T100.

I can't get on a bike yet Tony. My back is still too stiff and sore - I can't bend.

Re: My white TRX is no more
Go get a massage and add it to the insurance claim (oh god that's asking for trouble saying that I know!!) .... seriously though ... it will help. Try and find a sports massage therapist if you can.
