tail light pictures.

Post by brockzila » Wed May 07, 2008 8:56 pm

Has any one got any pictures of factory tail units with different tail lights. i am hating the look of the red box on the back of my bike and am after something a little more stream lined.
any pics would be sweet so i acn have a clue about what to get.
Am thinking about the twin round look or the cat eye type. Am undecided so am looking for inspration.

Thats the same unit that i have fitted to mine. The rubber surround from a CBR250 fits on to these and finishes the look off nicely. Or you could trim about an inch off the standard brick and it will look more in proportion.

i found this last night and am loving it, no major mods needed, no cost ands it smothes out the rear end well.

The only probi can see with it is the numberlight. it looks like it has been slid in to the tail. may look at cutting the ligkt out a little and sealing a bit of clear lens to light the plate.

or just forget about it until MOT time, I think that's what I would do.

though Kwacks seem to have a little LED above the numberplate, it doesn't really do anything but they get away with it, easy enough to fit one of those in.

motorrax and m&p have got those things. will look in to it. i am going to chop the whole rear guard off and make up a tailtidy and do this as well. but will wait till after i take her for a mot. i dont want to give them to much to pick on.

I knocked up a tail tidy for my mates er6, how they can justify selling them for £15 a throw is any ones guess. Waiting until after the MOT is probably not a bad idea, if they're anything like the folks i tried to take my old viffer too they have become right anally retentive eejits.

mine not the prittyest in the parking lot but its sound. just fully striped and replaced any thing that needed doing, removed the rust around the welds in the frame. But still dont want to risk it. they are old bikes so they will go over it witha fine tooth combe.
as soon as it gets back the scorpins, bluespots, tail light mod, and mini indicators will be going on. then when i get her back to my home soil and my tool box the real work will begin.

i bought a set of tinycators the other day in anticipation, can't argue at half price  Was so tempted by that sproket cover as well.

I've only ever had old bikes, mots have always been a bit of a worry. I usually just sell them before it's due, though not usually because it's due.

:D Take a look at mine, The tail light is pulled back so far, means I still have a number plate light, and cut down rear end.
