can you leave the wheel bearings in when you get your wheels powder coated or do they have to be removed?
many thanks RCT

take them out and replace them. the heat won't do the bearing seals or grease any good at all.

they can be left in but there is a chance the grease in the bearings will run out
when they are in the oven, they are not heated to much but its enough to melt the grease.
if you do take them out you'll need to make sure the coating doesnt go into the bearing seats
as its a bugger to get off and can make the bearings not seat properly.
Its an easy enough job getting them out and a good excuse for fitting new bearings which are
an often overlooked part of routine maintanance
