New Buyer - Advice Requested

Post by cowpyacreels » Mon Apr 07, 2008 8:56 pm

I'm in the UK and going to view/buy a TRX. I've a few questions that maybe someone can help with?
1) The bike is red with white frame and silver engine. Is this likely to be a non-UK (we call them parallel imports) bike?
2) I'll be taking the bike when I move to Sweden. If it's an import and still has right dipping, E.U. spec headlight then that will be fine. If it's a UK bike, or if it's an import with a left-dipping UK spec headlight, can anyone tell me IF I WANT TO CHANGE THE HEADLIGHT, CAN THE ACTUAL LIGHT ITSELF BE CHANGED, OR DOES IT COME AS A COMPLETE 'UNIT' WITH THE FAIRING AND HEADLIGHT AS ONE, SINGLE UNIT?
Many thanks in anticipation.

1: from my knowledge the motor would have been black if an import....
2: Don´t know really what you mean but in Sweden you´ll need dipped light during day....high beam at night and also a working parking light....and a reg plate light....and a red reflector in the read.....and....and.....WE`RE CRAZY IN SWEDEN!

headlight is separate. no need to shout, old chap.

could be that it's been repainted.

The lack of stickers very probably suggests a respray / new fairing.

Not necessarily a reason to walk away

Give us more details and we can give you a better opinion

original plain red bikes had the TRX sticker on the tail, not the fairing. pics would be useful.
