Is this a "new" one on Ebay?
I have an EMC shock you could buy if you wanted to.
Not a great deal of hassle to change, but getting the reservoir out through the frame can be fun.

Sounds like too much to me, even assuming it's actually new. Seems like it makes more sense to take the bike off the road, clean up your existing shock and send it off for a rebuild. Or alternatively do the same with a used shock from e-bay, for a lot less than the 'new' item.

Re: rear shock cost for OE part
i got a price to rebuild my factory one by a guy in south london for £180 with a hd spring to take my 20stone and new shaft.
the spring was 60 so it will be cheeper to just rebuild you existing one and if your shaft is sweet then it will be even less.

Is it Brock friendly???
