ZXR400 front end

I can get hold of a complete kawasaki zxr400 usd front end for about 200 quid.
The zxr is similar in weight to the trx ,it'll take a 120 section tyre and the brakes can be upgraded
to blackbird or fireblade calipers.
has anyone got any thought on fitting this to a TRX? my concern really is the length although i've not measured the zxr forks yet.
can anyone tell me the length from the spindle centre to the top of the frok leg (not pre load adjuster) on an unsprung trx fork leg?
any thoughts on compaterbility welcome.
How does the TRX stem come out of the bottom yoke, is it pressed in with a retaining clip or welded in?

TRX steering stem is pressed in with a retainer clip. Piece of cake to press back out again.

I helped my mate fit a ZXR400 front end to an RD350YPVS recently (very similar set up to a TRX).... Needed some fairly tricky spacers to do it but easy enough if you have access to a lathe.

I am turner so spacers wont be a problem
so what do we think, just a simple stem swap and then get the forks set up properly?

You might want to think about what you are going to do about lockstops & ignition switch etc. before taking the plunge....

There was a TRX in one of the english magazines a while ago with, I think, a zxr 750 USD front end so I 'spose a zxr400 front end is feasible
