Shaking Bars
Mine does it,but only at low speeds with no throttle and it seems worse when coasting downhill with hands of the bars. The tyres on my bike are well worn and the shake has not become any worse.Thinking about it I came to the conclusion that this was just another quirk of Trixie that makes it so interesting to own. If any of you guys out there figure this one out please let us all know, and then there will be one more Trixie trait solved.

Kirk,
I can see you have had your ABM's on good use for some while already. Since I'm thinking of bying a similar set, I would like to ask about your opinion about them now, after some use. Are they still true? Do the mileage have some effect on them? What kind of riding are you mostly doing?
Sorry about the off-topic and thanks for the info!

Re: Shakin' Dog! oops I mean bars!!
Hi all,
been a while i know, but work, overtime, TAFE, kids, pregnant mrs, fixin' bikes, you know the drill!!
Quick update; checked wheel alignment, new front wheel bearings, dropped rear height to standard, removed fork brace, guess what??!! Still shakin'! Everything mentioned reduced the effect of the shake and the weave with the damper on, but it's not gone yet so I'm tearing my hair out.
Almost considering (GASP!) taking it to a shop!
Oh well, I'll keep fiddling, I'm almost ready to just give up on the damper, but it's a matter of pride now to beat oops I mean fix it!
On the ABM brakes LozLul, they are bloody awesome, recommended them to a few people now. Much lighter (about 1kg just on the front! Noticeable!), more aggresive on initial bite, other people that ride the bike comment on them too. Just running standard EBC pads I think. As for wear, they're probably 5-10,000k's old and still look and feel new. Well worth it mate.
Lastly, hey Kenmore how's it going? Mine's blue, but I've seen one or two black one's around. Send me a PM if you wanna go for a ride or whatever. Maybe Easter weekend?
cya all.

Kirk,
Just the same as you I have had my backside hanging out with work.
Thought that you would like to know that I recently changed my tyres and now have no shake.
It remains to be seen if the shake returns once they start to wear.
I did change the front to a 70 profile and wonder if this has anything to do with it.
As for a ride over Easter I have to work, but when I figure out how to do a PM I will send you my details and maybe we can meet and go for a ride.
I also have a mate who has aTrixie and he recently road it to the Island and enjoyed every minute of it.
I wonder how many Trixies there are in the Gong and the S/coast?
It would be good to get a group together to swap info that is relevent to us down here.
Catch ya

When you're reading someone's post - look at their details on the right hand side - under their picture is information about them and under that you see the PM square - just click on that.kenmore wrote: when I figure out how to do a PM I will send you my details and maybe we can meet and go for a ride.

Had this problem a while ago. Changed the fork oil and the shake seemed to go away overnight. Dont know if this helps but worth checking

Re: Shakin' Dog! oops I mean bars!!
Thanks, for the answers,
haven't checked the head bearings yet, but had the front up the other day and it didn't seem tight, maybe a tad loose if anything. I'll do a bit of fiddling this weekend.
As far as fork iol, that's interesting. I know the oil in mine has a few k's on it. I've actually ordered new springs, so it'll get new springs and oil this weekend too.
Fingers crossed one of the above has some effect!!
