a few ppl on here have made adjustable dog bones. Requires a bit of handy work, but you could get an engineering firm to tap out a hex bar with right hand one end, and left the other. Then just buy some matching pivot eyelets.

Think of it as a swivel tie down thinggie. Works a treat (but i run a R1 swingarm, so my linkages and suspension are different)

I was going to make my own out of 6 mm st/st sheet but it keeps warping when I cut it with the plasma or grinder would need to be lazer cut I think to stop it warping

Try an engineering firm with a waterjet cutter, or alternatively have them CNC milled.

I made mine out of 6mm aluminium. Bought a metre from the hardware for $10 and made a few sets with different centres. Work great. Was a bit dubious about using aluminium to start with but Kawasaki use it on all there linkages and i haven't had a problem with them for over 5 years now. I've left them on there even tho i have a height adjuster on the ohlins shock.
Too easy.

Aluminium i used was 25mmx6mm. Centres are 176mm same as the YZF750sp. Standard TRX centres are 182mm. Hacksawed them to length, clamped them together in the vice and drilled them as a pair.

got a set of zx6r dogbones of ebay £7 but the hole centres were 180 trx 182, so took them into work filled the holes in with the tig drilled new hole centres at 177, seems to raise the rear by about 18mm wont be able to see how the bike reacts until the better weather arrives might look for another set and do the same only with 179 hole centres

I really like the matt silver/alloy look 8) Much easier to maintain as well.

Hi all, following this thread closely. I'm a newby to the TRX having bought it last march I think but putting only 200 miles on it since! But as I'm sure you are aware it handles too slow in to the corners even though I've dropped the forks as much as I dare. So looking for advice...

How have the 177 length dog bones performed. I'm planning on going this route @ 177 or 178. What is the feed-back on these lengths?

I'm 15.5 - 16 stones out of the bath so I'll be up rating the fork springs too. I'm road riding around North Wales mostly in a "spirited manor" but not breaking the speed limits Mr. Brundstrom... honest! :P

Any advice on associated fork oil measurements / viscosity for my weight would be appricated (searching for info there too)

All the best,

Rod

took mine of again found it to severe on the wrists, and for some reason my neck got quite sore, the bike also felt strange, not what I had hoped for, more unstable, boaty,on of the throttle, that was with 22mm fork showing above the yolks and the rear raised around 18mm with the 177mm dogbones gonna try 180 hole centres next with a drop of around 25mm at the front, if I dont like that the bike will go back to the way I had it standard at the back and 28mm of fork showing
