You could fill the petroltank more than half full

Seriously, with some (or a lot maybe) black smoke coming out of the exhausts, it will be worn down tubes and needles 4 sure!

tubes and jets

Post by 666mph » Wed Oct 17, 2007 12:20 pm

I'm getting reallyu bad mpg on my trx + black smoke. My bike has 2-1 akra pipe and k+n filter. I was told when i brought it that it's all been dynoed and jetted to suit. If my emulsion tubes need changing will I have to change my jets as well?
As for tyer pressures I use standard (i think) 2.5 bar in the front and 2.8 in the back. Any more and the bike feels too skitish and any less is feels very vague and slow to steer.

Putt-Poot-Phoot-Phooooooot-Putt………………………………………………!
Damn these things are embarrassing to push in peak hour traffic :!:

Even worse is when you get to the service station and she only takes 15lt and you realise that the fuel tap that is stuffed and leaks fuel all over the shed whenever you take the tank off actually has a functioning reserve    Phaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak!

Live and learn eh

I got 260klm and it was splutting for fuel, then I turned it onto reserve. Not sure what reserve has yet. That was a casual ride and around town 50/50. My TRX is standard, I'll let you know when it gets jet kitted and dyno'd and K&N air filter goe's in, see if makes a difference.
Due next week.
If you don't LOVE it don't do it.

About 20 miles of filtering, 20 miles at about 70MPH steady state then the rest at 90-100.
