Belongs to Huby I think, he entered it for TRX of the month a while back

Does look like a Jota though :D I like it, and the silver one, but then I used to ride a 900SS :D

At the end of the day if that's what you fancy doing with your bike then go for it.

I like cafe racers but not these.

To my mind they either need to be completely modern takes or classics - these just don't seem to work with the TRX as a base.

Hmmmm! Well thanks to everybody for your various suggestions & opinions! Having looked at some really good attempts I'm starting to think that I'm starting from the wrong point. The frame on the TRX (which first drew me to the bike - like an old TZ) really doesn't suit the lines of a cafe racer does it!

I think I may have to scrap that idea and look for a new donor bike! Yippee - another bike!!

Having seen a few interesting photos of TRX customs can I ask too see photos of anything TRX based? What is the most outlandish? Chop? Moderators feel free to set this as a new thread!

Thanks to all!

Richard

All from the german TRX site, I think!

The first one has me thinking, a Fox Terrier trying to fuk a football.
The second one looks almost like the front end off a CX500

I get the engineering /effort/ thing, but why?

There is a certain simplicity with the "remove faring, fit large round headlight" solution.

That makes the second one in those pics the best in my mind, although there's something wrong with that front end IMHO - too much trail?

I quite like the look of the TRX with the fairing off and single light on them personally (although I'd leave the clip-ons on it myself), but I have to agree with Burty about the front end of the one in the pic, almost looks a bit cruiseresque.

the first one ain't bad, just needs a bigger tail unit, the rest are just horrendously wrong.

Hi!

The "naked" with black rider is taken from the french site of live ;-)
The Laverda is one of Huby´s TRX´s ... build a few years ago... handmade fuelcase (longer & 21 L) and frame modification... it was a crashed TRX... given a second chance ;-) i like it and i´ve also driven it... she "only" got a TDMR40 and prooved 97 HP (crank) 84 (wheel) ... rides very fine... and parts of SFC seen and buyed at bremen classic...

Ciao!

Wow - that's big losses through the flywheel and drive chain (should be more like 88 at the wheel with crank figures like that).

Still horrid though

Hi!

The 84 HP was after getting the complete BOS-Racing exhaust system... getting more Torque but loosen some HP... before changing she´s got 87 HP ...
But at practice it´s better to get the complete exhaust (don´t know the word for the think in front of the Exhausts  ...) usually regular riding...

Ciao!
