wow, thats fantastic information CULater ! thanx for that.

Dont suppose you can get a full list of blueprinted data on the TRX engine ? tolerances they use, types of bearing (colour codes etc)..
I strongly suspect it WASNT the measurements listed in the normal workshop manual. Im just interested to compare them.

I would like to see more of that

Didn't see it rev beyond 10k - I'd say he is still on the standard CDI which is limited to 10k

That magazine article on the previous page said it was 98PS and wasn't reving much over 10K.

FWIW, the Taira / Sarron 8hr special was somewhere around 120HP. Mind you this was a behind closed doors factory works project.

A good one for transferriing to other formats is Magic DVD Ripper. You can get a trial download which gives you 5 uses.

The dyno graphs in the article look a lot like mine (and roughly same power as well).

I'd love to know what they did to that 8hr bike.

I know (the 8hr bike) had titanium rods, six speed box and probably a shaved and welded up crank. Lots of compression and heavy "factory" cams. Taira rode it at a couple events (demo mode) later and people that saw it said it really snorted, for a TRX that is. Sarron described it as "the slowest bike I've ever raced..."
