Calling Greg!!! eBay scammer "selling" a TRX

and this morning i get this;

My current location is Canada.The bike is home in UK.I only can arrange a shipping of the bike to you.

so i wonder how long i can keep this "email friendship" going then.... anyone taking odds of 10/1 in favour

note he has not mentioned a price yet.

well surely you organise a mate / neighbour / family member to show me the bike ??? what sort of Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£ are we talking, do you want payment in Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£ or $$$ ??? Ken.

What a shame I missed this, I would have happily joined in the bidding war to stop anyone getting scammed (apart from the scammers, ha!).

I have a question (puts hand up energetically)

I have never bought a vehicle off e-bay but my understanding is that here in Aur-stryya (Aussie) when you buy any big ticket thing (cars etc) the money apparently goes into escrow? (spelling?????) until the object (car etc) changes hands. A safe way to avoid the last 7 pages.

(Don't get me wrong, a great and entertaining read ) At least you get to hold the object (TRX etc) Is this not the case in the Old Dart?

However there is a loud and clear message here

escrow is an option in the UK, but for some reason this seller didn't offer to use it..................................

well i remember that yella TDM being on ebay a few weeks back. I haven't heard anymore from the bogus TRX seller after i told him i don't use paypal, but can transfer money direct in his account.......

just asked TDM seller why the bike cannot be collected ?

well he and i are still playing the 'i don't use paypal' so how can we do business, he's pretty desperate to 'sell it to me' now....
