Over doesn't make any of the racing parts for the TRX anymore as far as I'm aware. I looked into a 6 speed a couple years back and the ones that were on auction were either horribly priced or horribly worn. :( I wanted one to close the gap between 3rd and 4th that was killing drive up the hill on our circuit.

Why anybody in their right mind would use a tdm gearbox over the trx 5 speed is beyond me. Its ratios are designed for an "adventure bike" with a ridiculesly low first for climbing trees with a big gap to second and a big gap between fifth and an overdrive top (just were you dont want a big gap). The rest of the ratios are no closer than the trx box. Its effectivelly a 5 speeder with crazy ratios because first is unusable once on the move whereas the tall first of the trx is great for tight hairpins etc. Most serious riders who have a tdm motor in a trx actually put the trx cluster in the tdm. Totally unsuited to a sports road bike and a total wank.

I beg to differ, the TDM ratios feel a lot better and linear power straight to 6th.
The TRX has crazy ratios where one almost stalls the acceleration and 4th to 5th almost no difference.

Some like white girls some have junglefever, we all like different stuff.
