It's a long time to go Pete - lets give 'em the benefit of the doubt.

Might get some Vic / SA guys. Maybe we should go to Cooma in 2008 instead

Yes please.... then I can come via the Grampians, GOR, Vic high country, Murray Valley Highway, Alpine Way and Snowy Mts highway. Then back home to Adadiddlyaide the same way... mmmm 4500km of quality.
BTW I bet the dutch types did the whole run one one tank of fuel...

Nah Pete - the roads north sucks! South is the way to go - how about Canberra / Cooma? Ride around the the big house

Visit little Johnny or big Kev
Day 1 Brisbane to Dubbo
Day 2 Dubbo to Canberra
Day 3 Canberra to Cooma
Day 4 Cooma to Walca
Day 5 Walca to Brisbane

Dunno about the Dubbo diversion, but being an ex Syncity resident I can think of a few more interesting routes from Brizvegas to the little town with the Big House.
So how is this for an idea.... like Glen1TRX suggested we all meet in the little town for a ride around the big house. Then the next morning we head to via Cooma for an overnight in Beechworth Vic. See my photo
http://trx850.motomaniac.net/forum/view ... c&start=15.
The advantages are..
a) Cooma to Beechworth takes in some of THE best roads in Oz and the idea of a bunch of TRX's thundering down the Alpine Way and the Murray Vally Hwy works for me......
b) The Pub at Beechworth is a big old Cobb& Co jobbie with lotsa rooms, good food and its own micro-brewery.... mmmmm beer...
c) The location, apart from the stunning scenery, ace roads etc, is roughly equidistant for folks from Brisvegas and Adadiddlyaide, and the same but shorter for Syncity and Melboring residents. This means the trip to the first meeting point is an adventure in itsself and gets as close as possible to maximising participation. ( with apologies to those in WA, FNQ and NT... there is nothing I can do to help you....)
Right then now its time to shoot me down in flames...
