R-reg TRX spotted

A red R-reg TRX with race cans just rode past my office window, yum!

If it's anyone from this forum, let me know when you're back home. It sounded lovely!

Then that may have well been you. I saw you on the South Quay in Douglas going straight across the roundabout by the Trafalgar pub. The bike really did sound nice!

Whereabouts will you be living when you move over? I live in Ramsey and work in Douglas. Having done the move from the UK myself, if there's anything you need to know, then PM me or something and let me know - I'll give you all the information you need.

Good luck with the move and I'm looking forward to seeing another TRX here - that'll make about 5 on the Island in total!

Too be honest im surprised theres one other trx! We are looking at moving to ramsey coz my girlfriend has got a job at ramsey grammar school.
But it might be a while before i get my trx there as some woman pulled out of a side road and i braked, went sideways and got thrown off at 75! The bike is repairable but i think it will be written off u know wot insurance comanies r like it will be ages before i can have it back and when i do it looks like its gonna be streetfightered.
And the standard exhaust will go back on coz one off the quills has been crushed! It really did sound ace.
Maybe ill see you round soon
Bob

Ouch! Sounds painful, but at least you're OK. If you're interested, a mate of mine here may be selling his TRX at some point. I'm not 100% sure, but I can always check.

Bear in mind that you'll have to get your registrations changed to Manx plates on any vehicles you and your girlfriend own. If the vehicle is over 3 years old it will have to go through a Manx test (similar to an MOT).

Little tip for housing - if you're in Ramsey, try and get a place on the OUTSIDE of the TT course - it's far easier to get around!

No yearly MOT's but to gain a Manx registration the vehicle will have to go through a one-off test (that's at the test centre in Tromode). Useless information - PSVs and HGVs do have yearly tests here.
