Does anyone have any tips on how to get the original steel ball bar end weight out?
damn things wont budge! grips to tightest setting just slip and scratch them up.

Haven't had a go at them myself, but from other experiences: heat is good for loosening things inside holes... That and some violence...

Remove the bar from the aluminium clamp on top of the yoke, then use a long piece of steel about Ø6mm and thread that through the tapped hole in the opposite end of the bar. Then hammer the end of the rod to remove the aluminium bar end.

When i replaced the original bar end weights for "LSL Crashball" weights
i used extreme violence, i took a "griptang" clampped the weights and started turning left and right (and pulling outwards), the original weights are sort of "slotted" the weights got damaged in the proces, but what the heck, they look cheap anyway 8)

job done!

good set of locking grips as in pic and a good twist, turn, shake and a wobble off they come.
be prepared to bin the old bar ends though, as they get knackered in the process.
